Basic Download and Nikon 1 GP-N100 Installation instructions for Windows:

1. Windows:Create a new folder with an appropriate name on your computer’s hard disk.
2. Download F-GPN100-V0101W.exe to the folder created in step 1.
3. Run F-GPN100-V0101W.exe to create the folder titled GPN100Update, containing the following file: GPN100_0101.hxf : the firmware.
4. Connect the GP-N100 to a computer using the USB cable and launch the GP-N100 Utility. (see download link in Precautions above).
5. Select Update Firmware from the function menu.
6. Click the Browse button, navigate to the firmware file created in step 3, and click Open.
7. When the firmware upgrade is complete, click OK.
8. Check to see that the GP-N100’s firmware has been properly upgraded.

Basic Download and Nikon 1 GP-N100 Installation instructions for Macintosh:

1. Macintosh:Create a new folder on your computer Hard disk.
2. Download F-GPN100-V101M.dmg.
3. Double-click F-GPN100-V101M.dmg icon to mount the disk image labeled F-GPN100-V101M. A folder titled GPN100Update, containing the following file will be created inside the disk image: GPN100_0101.hxf (the firmware).
4. Connect the GP-N100 to a computer using the USB cable and launch the GP-N100 Utility.
5. Select Update Firmware from the funciton menu.
6. Click the Browse button, navigate to the firmware file created in step 2, and click Open.
7. Click OK in the file selection dialog to intitiate the firmware upgrade.
8. When the firmware upgrade is complete, click OK. Do not disconnect anything during the firmware upgrade process.

Modifications-Note for GP-N100 Firmware Version 1.01: When GPS> Use GPS to set clock in the setup menu of Nikon 1 V1 was set to ON with the GP-N100 connected, the camera clock was sometimes incorrectly set. This issue has been resolved.
